Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Drift for using our app and website. Please read them — using Drift means you accept them.

1. Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using Drift, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Drift.

2. Who can use Drift

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) and able to form a binding contract. If you use Drift on behalf of others on a shared trip, you're responsible for your own account and conduct.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity that happens under it. Let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. You may delete your account at any time.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you add to Drift — your trips, notes, photos, and videos. You grant Drift a limited license to host, store, display, and process that content solely to operate the service for you and the people you share trips with (including generating maps and AI trip summaries). You're responsible for the content you add and for having the rights to share it.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use Drift to break the law, infringe others' rights, upload harmful or abusive content, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service, or misuse other people's data. We may suspend or remove accounts that do.

6. Bookings and third-party services

Drift helps you discover and compare places to stay and things to do, and links you out to third-party providers to book them — including partners such as Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, Vrbo, Viator, Klook, and Priceline, sometimes through the Stay22 or Travelpayouts networks.

Drift is not a travel agency and is not the seller of these stays, tours, or tickets. Any booking is a transaction between you and the third-party provider, governed by that provider's own terms, pricing, availability, and cancellation policies. Prices shown in Drift come from those partners and may change or be unavailable by the time you book. We're not responsible for the products, services, or conduct of any third-party provider.

7. Beta software

Drift is currently offered as a beta. That means features may change, break, or be removed, and data may occasionally be affected. We provide the beta "as is" so we can improve it with your feedback.

8. Our intellectual property

Drift, including the app, website, name, and logo, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms don't grant you any rights to our brand or software beyond using the service as intended.

9. Disclaimers

Drift is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of third-party travel data, or uninterrupted availability. Travel involves risk; you're responsible for your own decisions, documents, and safety.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Drift and its team won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any losses arising from third-party bookings or services, your content, or your use of (or inability to use) Drift. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to hold Drift harmless from claims arising out of your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these terms or the rights of others.

12. Termination

You may stop using Drift and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the service, with notice where reasonable.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Drift is operated, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Drift evolves. We'll update the "last updated" date and, for material changes, give notice in the app. Continuing to use Drift after changes means you accept them.
